About Robyn Short
Robyn Short has worked in media relations, strategic communications and content management for more than 15 years. With a passion for peace-building and social justice, Robyn founded GoodMedia Press, an independent publishing and film production company, in 2012 with the sole purpose of creating rich and actionable media that provides peaceful solutions for conflict, sheds light on social justice issues, specifically issues related to mass incarceration, and offers solutions for creating parity where there is disparity.
Robyn is an avid writer and blogger and has written eight books and collaborated on numerous others. An international speaker and peace-building trainer, Robyn works with organizations to develop grassroots efforts for building sustainable peace in areas of historical conflict. In this capacity, she has been featured on news outlets internationally.
Robyn also works with corporations, providing dispute resolution training, “difficult conversations” training and workshops on the neuroscience of conflict.
Robyn is a frequent guest contributor on Fox 4 Good Day Dallas where she provides book recommendations by local authors.
Robyn holds a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Auburn University, a Masters in Liberal Arts from Southern Methodist University and a Masters in Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution from Southern Methodist University. Robyn has 140 hours of mediation training. She is certified in mediation, transformative mediation and victim / offender mediation.
Robyn believes that we all have a moral, civic and patriotic responsibility to “be the change we wish to see in the world.”
